Peer Solutions' program, STAND & SERVE has taken a very large unexpected cut in funding from the Feds that has the potential to reduce and even elimnate schools, clubs and community based activities. Phoenix is the 5th largest city in the country and our young people and communities are deeply suffering from the economy and greed based politics regardless of political identity. For the first time in Peer Solutions history, several of our families do not even have food in their houses and reports to child protective services have increased. Having someone to investigate the claim unless there are broken bones is very very rare. Seriously. 75% of staff have already taken pay cuts. With a bare bones staff, we cant take any more cuts and we need to pay for food and supplies for our program. Even $1 will help.
